穩踏磐石

一 我的所有希望根基，

在於基督公義、寶血；

我不敢靠最好的義，

我只敢靠祂的名牒。

（副）基督磐石，我所穩踏，

其他地位都是流沙，

二 即有黑雲掩祂的臉，

祂心不變，祂恩不移；

每次風浪雖欲漫淹，

信心的錨拋牢幔裏。

三 祂血，祂約何等可靠，

我名已經刻在祂手；

四圍雖然都能傾倒，

祂仍存在永不棄守。

四 當祂再來，號筒吹響，

那時我在祂內出現；

只穿祂的公義衣裳，

無可指責被獻座前。

作者是英國慕特牧師（Edward Mote 1797-1874）一首他稱為罪人希望的穩固根基。也被人稱為偉大信仰聖歌。據他自述年青時常在街上遊蕩，十六歲時聽海阿特牧師(Rev. John Hyatt)講道後，才悔改信主。在倫敦附近浸信會忠心侍奉主，為主建新教堂，會眾將地契送給他，他拒絕接受而選擇在講壇服侍主。這詩是他想寫一首信徒蒙恩的詩。在經過哈波山(Holborn Hill)得到靈感寫了副歌和四節，後來去探訪會眾家人的病，需要唱詩，他拿出這詩和信徒同唱，後來寫下其他兩節，送給那患病的姊妹。這詩就成為多人的幫助，我們唱這詩是否也確信，我的主是磐石，是山寨，我要向衪歡呼和感謝。

THE SOLID ROCK

1. My hope is built on nothing less

Than Jesus' blood and righteousness;
